Formed in the late 1890s the Ducks have so far won 17 Championship titles at the national level in varied programs. It was the year 1939 that saw the Ducks winning their first National Championship in Men's Basketball, a program that to date has a huge fan following. Following the 1939 victory the Ducks' Men's Cross Country program won them multiple National championships that too three in a row from 1971-1973.
