Finally, in 1968, the team found its home in Atlanta Georgia and has been called the Atlanta Hawks ever since.

The Minnesota Timberwolves on the other hand is a baby franchise that was founded only in 1989 when the NBA franchise which was meant for the city Minneapolis relocated to the city of Los Angeles in 1989. The team that was born as a result of the relocation was given a name via a contest held in 1986 and was called the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, the team did not play its first game until three years later. As a member of the Western Conference, the team plays its games in the Northwest Division of the National Basketball Association. The home games of the team are hosted by the Target Center which remains the home of the Timberwolves since 1989.
