The team of Syracuse Crunch originally came into existence as Hamilton Canucks and was based on Hamilton, Ontario. The team was incepted in 1992 as an American Hockey League Franchise and was affiliated with Vancouver Canucks of the National Hockey League. The team played only two seasons in the league before it was folded, and during these two seasons they played their home games at the Copps Coliseum. The team moved to Syracuse in 1994, and presently we know it as Syracuse Crunch. Presently the city of Hamilton is represented by Hamilton Bulldogs, which was founded in 1996.
