A Weekend with Pablo Picasso is a one man show which is performed and written by Herbert Siguenza. Directed by Todd Salovey, this incredible show features the most amazing artist of the twentieth century- Pablo Picasso. Picasso’s thoughts about ‘art as an agent of social change’, love, creativity and ambitions is communicated superbly to the audiences. The famed writer and actor, Siguenza doesn’t imitate Picasso, but he tries to create an image of the great Spanish artist. The show opens to the set that is designed as Picasso’s studio in 1957, where he is going to paint 3 vases and 6 canvases over the weekend- something that only the dedicated pacifist Picasso could do! The show makes you witness how the 76 year old self proclaimed genius painter fights all kinds of interruptions while he is engaged in his work. Complete personality of this beleaguered celebrity is excellently portrayed in the 80 minutes long show. Pablo Picasso’s work will keep him alive in the hearts of his fans forever. The demand for A Weekend with Pablo Picasso tickets has seen a continuous rise ever since this show premiered in 2011.
