NFL Preseason St Louis Rams
The St Louis Rams were founded in 1936 and have been a professional team for nearly eighty years. The Rams play at the Edward Jones Dome in St Louis, Missouri. The franchise is a member of the National Football League's National Football Conference and part of the NFC West division.
The Rams were known as the Cleveland Rams until 1945. They then moved to Los Angeles and played there until 1994. Since 1995, they have been based in St Louis.
The franchise has gone on to win three NFL Championships and one Super Bowl Championship. The St Louis Rams have also won six Conference Championships and fifteen Division Championships. They also have twenty seven playoff appearances to their names. The three–time NFL League Champions are the only franchise to win League Championships in three different American cities.
The original Cleveland based franchise was founded by Homer Marshman in the late forties. They were named after the nickname of the Fordham University, in honor of the hard work done by the team’s football players. The franchise became members of the then newly formed American Football League and finished second during their first season in pro football. The team has seen numerous successful campaigns since then.
In 2012, Jeff Fisher joined the franchise as the new head coach. He was being courted by the Miami Dolphins at the time and had previously coached the Tennessee Titans. In 2012, it was also announced that the Rams would play one home game each season at UK's Wembley Stadium, located in London.
The Rams hired Brian Schottenheimer as the new offensive coordinator in 2012. From 2012 onwards, players such as Jo–Lonn Dunbar, Sam Bradford and Robert Quinn have recorded career high numbers and have helped the Rams win numerous games.
