Competitions

The PBR (Professional Bull Riders, Inc.) is the organization that regulates the sport internationally and organizes top level competition (PBR Tours) between the finest riders on the planet. It started off with a single tour in 1994 and has since expanded to three. The current PBR Tour includes the Unleash the Beast (UTB) Series, Velocity Tour and the Touring Pro Division.

The Unleash the Best Series is the elite class where the best riders and the most ferocious bulls go head-to-head. UTB events lead to the PBR World Finals at the end of each season where the best performer over the course of the campaign is crowned champion.

On the other hand, the Velocity Tour pits the brightest young talent in the game against more experienced riders with qualification for the UTB Series and the PBR World Finals at stake. The third series is the Touring Pro Division which is the newest addition on the PBR Tour. Starting off in 2010, it is a minor tour that provides an opportunity for up-and-coming competitors to qualify for the elite series.
