Riverdance incorporated Irish dance and music, expanding on the Eurovision composition. The theatrical show premiered on 9th February 1995 at the Point Theatre. It featured original performers from the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. Riverdance gained massive popularity when Prince Charles invited the troupe to perform at the Victory in Europe Day’s 50th Anniversary.
