Menopause The Musical Tickets

Since it first premiered on March 28, 2001, in Orlando, Florida, United States, Menopause the Musical has been a phenomenal hit with a new age bracket of women who are instantly enamored by the ideals of the protagonists and can empathize with their sentiments. The story is mundane but it is dealt with in an amazing way; four women out about town, shopping for lingerie at a sale being held at Bloomingdale. Over the course of their conversation, the characters talk about all that middle-aged women go through. Their discussions range from chocolate cravings to hot flashes to loss of memory to nocturnal sweats to sexual predicaments. And they do it all while singing. The lyrics are a clever mixture of pun and humor and they are sung in the tunes of famous songs such as ‘Stayin’ Awake’ and ‘Puff, My God I'm Draggin’” both of which borrow heavily from famous mainstream songs.

Menopause the Musical was the brainchild of Jeanie Linders who penned the whole premise. She felt that a large chunk of women were being left out of the market and thus, she exclusively focused on their concerns and problems. And her gut feeling was validated by the huge sales as women flocked in droves to the theatres and the show went from strength to strength. So much so that now the show is being played all across the country and even abroad.

Now you can enjoy this funny satirical piece of genius as they are ready to go on another tour. In the process, you stand to become one of the eleven million who have already sat through and laughed wholeheartedly and empathized with the characters. And at the same time, it is for a good cause, as the show contributes funds for the fight against ovarian cancer. It even stages national fund-raising tours for the cause in addition to creating awareness amongst the people about menopause-related problems.
