Orlando Magic: Formation and Story Till Now
The Orlando Magic were set up in 1989 as an expansion franchise of the NBA. They were one of four outfits that joined the league in that period. The side from the City Beautiful are also one of the fastest expansion teams to make it to the NBA Finals. They did so in 1995 during what was only their second-ever playoff appearance and the sixth year of franchise existence.
The Amway Center serves as the Magic’s home court. They have been based here since 2010 while the place is also the home of the NAL’s Orlando Predators and ECHL’s Orlando Solar Bears. The Lakeland Magic from the NBA G League are the current minor league affiliates of the Orlando Magic.
