The performers use costumes from the popular segments of Sesame Street tickets show and amuse the audience. A theatrical style is adapted for the show and performances are done on a stage. Every year the show features new plots and stories to retain interest of the audience. Being a show directed mainly for the children, the audience is replaced with the passage of time as the children grow up, and the tour makes the old but popular performances come again with some modifications after some years. This makes the characters and stories alive, and popular among generations.
Characters performing in the show include the Muppets created by Jim Hansen, one of the greatest puppeteers history has ever seen. Hansen himself has been actively involved in the Sesame Street Show productions, designing and playing characters for the show, including Bert and Ernie, Elmo, Cookie Monster and the well known Big Bird.
