About The Venue

The Westside Theatre was inaugurated in 1991 under the administration of Reno Productions, Inc. The location was previously covered by German Baptist Church which got renovated and then reopened as Westside Theatre. It has an upstairs and a downstairs theatre with a seating capacity of 270 and 249 respectively. The theatre has had the privilege of hosting different productions from the time of its inception like Stuffed, Dust, Through The Night, Full Gallop, Too Jewish, Food Chain, Clever Little Lies, Chick Flick The Musical and many more.

Book and lyrics by Howard Ashman, Little Shop of Horror is a musical which revolves around Mr. Mushnik’s florist shop where one of the workers Seymour takes care of a very unique plant. The unique plant is mysterious and it feeds on human blood and flesh. While working at the shop, Seymour develops a crush on his beautiful co-worker Audrey and names the plant after her - Audrey II. Audrey decides to use the uniqueness of the plant as a way to attract customers and eventually the business starts to flourish.

Music by Alan Menken, the production has few characters namely Chiffon, Ronnette and Crystal who provide commentary and musical accompaniment through out the show. These three characters, with the help of a song, narrate the story behind the purchase of the mysterious plant.
