The band was founded in the year 2003 in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was initially a music/television concept given to a local channel in New Orleans. The first channel to pay attention to the band was WLAE-TV. The station gave them an introduction to Beth Courtney. Courtney was Louisiana Public Broadcasting's President and Chief Executive Officer. Some time after their introduction, the channel began to air short videos by the group. The band soon started to gather a fan following with their amazing music. They composed educational songs for children which not only the kids loved, but older people loved too, due to their catchy tunes and vibrant music. They produced their albums themselves and managed to sell over 100,000 copies. Some of their most popular songs include Good Ideas, Stir It Up, Eight Feet and Calling All Movers. These songs combined have achieved 14 awards. Some of the awards have been from groups including Parents' Choice and NAPPA (National Association of Parenting Publications).
In the year 2005, the group was noticed by Walt Disney. The process to add the band to the company began the same year. The band signed the contract with Disney in the year 2006. The band's official debut album was released with Walt Disney Records in the year 2008. The album was released nationwide and was named Juice Box Heroes. The name of their first tour was Live from the Idea Warehouse Concert Tour 2009. The tour included several live concerts in which the band performed their most popular songs. The shows were a huge success and the band gained even more fan following that year.
