A series of albums and singles have topped the charts by this band and their present day performances are a proof of their continuing success. When it come to concerts, Firefall tickets have always been hotsellers and this time the situation is no different.

About Firefall

The band came into existence in 1974 in Boulder, Colorado when Rick Roberts and Jock Bartley decided to come up with something unique which they didn’t know would see a bright future ahead. Both these rockstars saw each other’s work in a tour where they practiced and performed on tunes and played some wonderful acoustics together. With assistance on drums, bass and other musicians, the duo formed the band with a title whose inspiration was drawn from Yosemite Firefall, a famous summertime tradition of the eighteenth century. Following the formation of the band, Roberts, Bartley and Andes performed in a number of clubs and prepared their demo tapes as well.

It was not until 1976 that the band got their very first breakthrough in the music scene with a self titled album. The album’s recordings were done at the Criteria Studios, Miami and a number of musicians mostly friends, helped them record their album. The debut album by the band was a pure success as it reached gold status instantaneously. Their single Livin Aint Livin was a big hit as well. The next single by the band was by the name of You Are the Woman which made it to Top 10 on the charts. Their second album Tropical Nights were also one of its kinds while their third album Elan became the biggest success of late 1970s. The band even toured and played extensively on live concerts where their presence was highly awaited and a huge fan following was always behind this group.

Whereas the first five years of Firefall saw brilliant success and a fever of their numbers amongst the public, the next few years saw a little break from work. This decline in recordings did not come instantly but over the two years when the group just came up with albums like Undertow and Clouds Across The Sun. The group saw new beginnings with new members in 1982 when Bartley decided to re-form the band with new musicians which were Chuck Kirkpatrick and Johnne Samabataro. The revitalized Firefall came up with Break of Dawn in 1983 followed by Mirror of the World in the same year. Their hot umbers like Runaway Love and Always became highlights of the tours and live performances that they gave across the country.

The band was joined by Mark Oblinger as a replacement for Kirkpatrick until he recovered from his accident in 1986. However, his replacement became permanent as Chuck left the band and a few more members like Sambataro left the band after him as well. This transition was followed by the release Firefall: The Greatest Hits in 1992 of which the song Run Run Runaway became a big hit. In 1993, their song When The River Rises was released during the Flood of 1993 and was used as a message song across radio and television to bring awareness of the catastrophe across the world.

Be it the early hits like Cinderella or the more upbeat songs of the 1990s like Love Find a Way, Secret, Very First Moment, Say It’s Over, Firefall has given its music lovers some amazing music over the past four decades. Their songs are not only about entertainment but also work on environmental issues. The band has been presenting numerous entertaining live shows by the name of Acoustic Firefall since 2005. In 2007 they released a CD which was a tribute to The Beatles.  In 2008 the band even did a live show with some of their original members. They plan to do a number of live shows and tours in the future as well. So to enjoy this fabulous band, buy your cheap Firefall tickets as soon as you can.
