The band?s lead singer is O?Donoghue, his flexible vocal range, chic looks and brilliant songwriting skills helped the band to get registered in people?s mind. He started his professional music career with the band MyTown in 1996. Mark Sheehan is cofounder of the band, he plays guitar and does the backing vocals. Sheehan has serious interest in production and has worked with Dallas Austin, Teddy Riley, Montell Jordan and R&B. The band?s third and last member is the most stylish Irish man; Glen Power. This funky dude plays drums and various other instruments in his own distinguishable style. Power rarely got a chance to express his real talents while he worked with other bands. It was with the Script that he is enjoying his freedom and we love how catchy his beats are and have the strength to replace all other instruments.

The Script?s work is influenced by the bands The Police, Timbaland, U2, The Neptunes and the music don Van Morrison yet they have their own exclusive style. Their beautiful lyrics, catchy music and attractive vocals separate them most new bands and several old bands whose punk funk personalities and lifestyles keep them more in news than the quality of their work. The band?s first ever performance was on Balcony TV in 2007 where they performed their debut song "We Cry". The song became a hit right away on radio and became the "Single of the day" on BBC Radio 1, Today FM and RTE 2FM and climbed at 15 spot on the UK Singles Charts and held the 9th spot in  Irish Singles Chart. Their other chart topping numbers include; "The Man Who Can?t Be Moved", "Breakeven", "Talk You Down", "Before the Worst" "Live Like We?re Dying", "End Where I Begin", "I?m Yours" and "Don?t Be So Naive".

The Script has released two albums so far, The Script was released in 2008 and Science and Faith was released in 2010. The Irish touch contained in their work is brilliant, the clarity in O`Donoghue?s voice, the whiz and rhythm in Sheehan?s guitar and the life in Power?s beat combine to form the outstanding Script band. Their music induces feelings of peace and relaxation, and serves the purpose. The band member?s startling talents with instruments like guitar, drums, percussion, and keyboard touch the audience heart and make them tap their feet. The band members have years of experience with other bands and solo work. Danny and Mark had worked together in MyTown from 1996 till 2001 but could not get enough famous in UK and Ireland.

Later in 2008, O`Donoghue and Sheehan formed the band Script with Glen?s addition and this time it was meant to get the fame, respect and love it deserved from the fans. It is amazing to witness how well they perform with both slow and paced tracks. While listening to the slow tracks it becomes hard to believe that if they can ever do justice to any heavy track. Their music quality and popularity has earned them many awards including; the DanishTV Music Video Best Video Award 2009, World Music Awards for the Best Selling Irish Act 2008, Metro Ireland Music Award for the Best Irish Album 2009 and the Best Irish Band 2009, Meteor Ireland Music Award for the Best Live Performance 2010.
