The Origins

Evanescence came into formation back in 1995 when the singer and pianist Amy Lee and Guitarist Ben Moody decided to come together and dazzle the public with their music skills. The two had met at a Christian youth camp and for the initial few years of the band, Evanescence also garnered a reputation as a ‘Christian rock genre band’ as well. However, after Lee went public with the statement that she opposes this identification, the image of the band shifted more towards regular music than Christian music. In early years, Evanescence got renowned for its three EPs titled “Evanescence”, “Sound Asleep” and “Mystary”. In a surprising and delightful turn, the band publicly encouraged the listeners to listen to their music on eBay instead of downloading older songs for a hefty price. The 2000s decade took the band t heights of fame and fortune, when they not only dropped hit after hit songs but also bagged uncountable accolades for their performances. These included Grammys, MTV Europe Music Awards, National Music Publishers Association Award, and so many more. In 2009, Evanescence went on a temporary hiatus that was broken in 2015 with their live performance at Japan’s Ozzfest. Since then Evanescence has been unstoppable once again.

US Arena Tour 2021

Evanescence and Halestorm are coming together for fiery performances all through November and more than half of December this year. They will kick off the tour on November 5 from Portland and then perform in arenas across the country towards Northeast right, finishing at Worcestor. The band will be performing their all time hits from older songs, as well as new material including the song “Better Without You” that touches Ame Lee’s personal struggles in the music industry. Halestorm, on the other hand, has announced in January that they are recording their album “Socially Distant” and it is anybody’s guess if there will be some Easter egg peeks into their new songs during this tour as well.
