ASAP Rocky started his career in 2010 and he was able to gain attention of the music world with his first mixtape called LiveLoveA$AP. Even before releasing this tape one of his single "Peso" and music videos of "Purple Swag" and "Peso" had already gained popularity and received considerable air play. "Peso" went on to land at #75 on the US R&B charts. This lead ASAP Rocky to sign a $3 million record deal with music giant Sony Records R&B and hip hop label Polo Grounds Music. ASAP Rocky is already working on his studio album which he plans to release somewhere in the mid of the year 2012 and it is called LongLiveA$AP. Famous recording artist Drake was accompanied by ASAP Rocky and rapper Kendrick Lamar on his Club Paradise Tour of 2012. Apart from releasing a studio album ASAP Rocky will also be releasing his second mixtape called TRillaLife this year.

Some other artists with whom ASAP Rocky has collaborated are Theophilus London (album name Lovers Holiday 2: Rose Island), Swizz Beatz, Schoolboy Q, Smoke DZA (on his album Rolling Stoned & Jet World Order), Juicy J and Lloyd Banks (album name Cold Corner 2), Danny Brow and Killa Kyleon. His popular music videos include "Get High", "Hands on the Wheel", "Street Knock", "Purple Swag" and "4 Loko". ASAP Rock has been recently nominated for BBC Sound of 2012 award and the result for this is awaited.
