They called their signature form of fusion music horrorcore. It was not simple hip-hop music because the members performed as two weird and scary characters Jamie Madrox and Monoxide Child. The two came together when their band named 'House of Krazees, came to an end 1997. From then onwards, the two came togethher and started making the music they always wanted. With more than fifteen years in mainstream the duo has released ten studio albums. Under Psychopathic Records they also released six extended play and seven compilations. They left this shell in 2012.
Spaniolo and Methric initially performed as Mr. Bones and Hektic; their band had a third member H.O.C who somewhat remained a sideline. Once the band disbanded, the two word hard on their demos and forwarded them to Joseph Bruce. Impressed by their songs, Bruce signed them under Psychopathic Records and invited them to the tour of 'The House of Horrors'. The duo?s first studio album 'Mostasteless' hit stands in 1997; this happened officially before entering the contract of Psychopathic Records. The album was applauded by the critics who categorically sated that the ?album surpasses most of the ICP records?.
The band?s first album was re-released through Island Records in 1999 after Insane Clown Posse scouted them to the record company. Though Island Records re-released ?Mostasteless? with a different track listing the album remained mediocre compared to the debut release. The track listing on this album featured new songs, however it missed hit tracks like 'Murder Murder Murder' and 'She Ain't Afraid'. The album hit No.8 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers chart and No.149 on Billboard 200 and pushed the band to work harder.
Twitztid released their sophomore album 'Freak Show' came out in 2000; it was acknowledged for its uniqueness by the critics. The critic Brad Mills of Allmusic claimed the album to be a ?niche market product that a small group of hip-hop listeners would be attracted to?. Yet, some critics also found that for hip-hop listeners such music is a different flavor that some may like while some won?t. The album also made to the top of charts, particularly on Billboard 200 charts where it was ranked No.51.
In 2002, the due released its first EP titled 'Mirror Mirror'. It was a groundbreaking release for the duo as critics gave it high reviews. The album got high public acclaim for rightly portraying the mood of depressed young people. Also the EP was ranked No.5 on Top Independent Albums chart and No.103 on Billboard 200. This followed the release of the band?s third studio album 'The Greek Book' that became a hit on charts; it reached No.2 spot on Top Independent charts and No.52 on Billboard 200.
The fourth album of the duo was a double album and released in two volumes. The first volume 'Man's Myth' was released in June 2005. Its theme was about pain and agony of being a part of a world that cannot be trusted. The second volume 'Mutant' was released the next month and kept a close connection with the theme of volume 1. ?Man's Myth? was ranked No.4 on Top Independent Albums chart and No.62 on Top Internet charts and Billboard 200. While ?Mutant? scored a relatively lower success; it ranked No.11 on Top Independent Albums chart, No. 80 on Billboard 200 and No.215 on Top Internet charts.
'Independents Day' (2007) became Twiztid ?s sixth album; it consisted of guest appearances from rappers working under Independent records.
