Musicians Davey, Adam, Jade and Hunter make up the current line-up of AFI. Vocalist, Davey Havok while still in high school was the one responsible for forming AFI back in the early 90s. Some of their early influences consist of bands like The Misfits, The Smiths, The Cure, Skinny Puppy and Samhain. Due to attending different colleges, the group had to part ways for a few years but came back with a bang with a reunion show at the Phoenix Theater in Petaluma, California. Since then, AFI has been providing their fans with the best compositions, having elements of various genres including horror punk, alternative rock, post-hardcore, punk rock and hardcore punk.  

Due to their diversity and originality in music, MTV’s executive, Amy Doyle has called them, "one of the most compelling live rock bands today." No wonder they have sold millions of copies and worked with well-known record label companies such as Interscope, Adeline, DreamWorks, Republic, Key Lime Pie and Nitro Records. AFI have in the past 22 years of their career, managed to maintain outstanding credentials and become one of the most talked about rock acts of the music industry.

Many critics from around the world have praised the lead singer, Davey Havok’s vocal abilities. His trademark flair and vocal style has earned him a great deal of fame and respect throughout the rock music community. The Yorkshire Evening Post critic stated that Davey Havok’s voice is, "one of those you'll love or hate, but one thing can't be denied, this guy has range beyond belief." Another writer from The Alternative Press has called Havok "a bona fide rock god" which undoubtedly is a huge compliment for any artist.

With their debut album, Answer That and Stay Fashionable, AFI attracted countless listeners resulting in various album contracts and gig invitations. After years of experimenting with their music, AFI finally hit the US Billboard Hot 100 with their fifth studio album, The Art of Drowning. The Alternative Press also inducted the album in its list of "ten most influential albums of the year 2000." Following this one, the band came up with their first Gold certified record, Sing the Sorrow. The album also received a Platinum certification by the RIAA and MC spawning hits like, "The Leaving Song Pt. II," "Silver and Gold" and "Girl’s Not Grey." After releasing a number of successful musical projects, AFI finally released their new album, titled, Burials. This was the band’s 9th studio album and was one of the musical highlights of 2013.

Some of the singles such as, "17 Crimes" and "I Hope You Suffer" have already seen mainstream success and they’ve been receiving a positive response from fans and critics. They have amazed huge audiences with their remarkable stage presence. Revolver Magazine has praised them by saying, "AFI have increased the importance of a band's visual identity and the flair for the theatrical." All those willing to attend their concert must buy AFI tickets right away because considering the band’s popularity, tickets won’t remain available for now.
