Sleeping With Sirens
Beginnings of a promising career
Formed in 2009 in Orlando, Sleeping with Sirens features members from various other post-hardcore acts including Paddock Park, Broadway and For All We Know. Currently a quintet, the group includes vocalist Kellin Quinn, bassist Justin Hills, guitarists Jesse Lawson and Jack Fowler and drummer Gabe Barham. They shifted to Grand Rapids some time after the formation of the band.
Soon after, Sleeping with Sirens caught the attention of the metal core record label, Rise Records. Under the label, the band released their debut record With Ears to See, and Eyes to Hear in 2010. The album effectively put the group on the music map and on the Billboard charts where it ranked at number seven on the “Top Heatseekers” chart. It also featured among the top forty on the “Top Independent Albums” chart.
The following year saw the group release their sophomore effort, Let’s Cheers to This, which featured singles like “Postcards and Polaroids” and “All My Heart.” As the band steadily gained popularity and momentum, they continued to explore new horizons with their music while keeping true to their roots.
Feel rocks the Billboard charts
Sleeping with Sirens stayed true to their sound on their third studio effort that came out in 2013. The album turned out to become their biggest chart hit to date, rocking the Billboard 200 and Top Digital Albums charts at third place and ranking at number two on the Top Hard Rock Albums chart. The album yielded the band’s first two hits on the singles charts with “Alone” featuring among the top twenty-five and “Low” climbing to the top twenty on the Rock Songs chart.
Madness keeps the ball rolling
The talented quintet released their latest album Madness in 2015. Featuring thirteen tracks, this full-length studio effort is the band’s debut project under the label of Reprise Records. The eclectic work is a celebration of everything that the band represents. The album achieved considerable commercial and critical success peaking at number one on the Top Hard Rock Albums and Top Independent Albums chart. It also spawned the top thirty Rock Songs hit “Kick Me” and other notable singles like “Go Go Go” and “Better Off Dead.”
The album has created quite a stir on social media. Band members also sounded pretty excited about the album, with Quinn calling the music on Madness to be the kind that they grew up listening to and that changed them. Guitarist Jack Fowler feels it’s the best album the band has done so far because it showcases a range of sounds from punk to pop rock to emotional ballads.
The post-hardcore act recently released a spooky music video for their hit single “Better off Dead” that generated quite a buzz on social media. These popular artists also continue to attract more followers and bigger crowds as their worldwide Madness Tour progresses. Sleeping with Sirens tickets for the tour have been selling like crazy among post-hardcore fans and are expected to generate steady sales for the length of the tour. Featuring Quinn’s distinctive vocals, the band’s live performances make for a worthwhile experience.
