As I lay Dying won an award from MTV2 in the category of Ultimate Metal God
for their performance at the first yearly All That Rocks
special. The following year, the band was also given the title of Artist of the Year
by San Diego Music Awards
while also receiving a nomination for a Grammy Award
in the category of Best Metal Performance
