The American Boychoir is home to many a musician and singer, often from the US. It is ranked as one of the best premier choral groups in the US, with over two hundred performances each year in the US and internationally. It also conducts an average of five tours yearly.
The American Boychoir has performed with the New York Philharmonic, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Berlin Philharmonic, the St Olaf Choir, famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma and Wyton Marsalis, renowned trumpeter. It has also performed with opera singers such as the famous Jessye Norman, Kathleen Battle and Frederica von Stade. It has also appeared many times on TV, on shows such as the Today Show on NBC. The American Boychoir’s members have also been in the spotlight. One such is Chet Allen who was cast in the first ever opera made for TV, Amahl and the Night Visitors in which he played the role of Amahl, the main character.
