Dallas Green is a Canadian singer and song-writer who plays acoustic and folk music. He felt queasy recording under his original name so he came up with a stage name for his recordings, City and Colour. Dallas is the name of city and Green is a colour. He established himself as a musician in 2004 and released his debut album Sometimes in 2005. The album received platinum certification by the year 2006. City and Colour is applauded by critics for his piercing yet melodic vocals. Dallas often releases music in collaboration with numerous Canadian indie rock musicians including Spencer Burton and Daniel Romano.
This time of the year, City and Colour is set for a musical tour accompanied by another Canadian indie rock band Half Moon Run. The quartet includes Isaac Symonds, Devon Portielje, Dylan Phillips and Conner Molander. The band is fairly new; established only in 2010.
