About Wicked

Directed by Joe Mantello, Wicked is a story of two university friends who turn into witches. One of them is pretty and popular called Glinda and the other one, Elphaba is born with a green colored skin. Both of them get the title of witches; Glinda being the Good and Elphaba the Wicked Witch of the West. Elphaba is a smart girl, fiery and has a lot of talent hidden inside of her. She meets the pretty blonde Glinda and their enmity turns into the unlikeliest of friendships. Both the girls enjoy their friendly bond until the world starts discriminating them as good and wicked witches.

Premiered in May 2003, the musical narrates the story of the Land of Oz before the arrival of Dorothy. Wicked gradually develops the character of both Glinda and Elphaba. The musical is thoughtfully created with beautiful dresses and amazing stage effects. Music and lyrics by Stephan Schwartz, the whole theater experience is a treat to the eyes and ears. Each and every performer of the musical has crystal clear vocals and it is a joy for all the audience members to see their effortless singing.
