The Premiere of the Book of Mormon

The Book of Mormon was premiered at the Eugene Theatre in March, 2011. After seven years of development and script writing, the Broadway spectacle held shows for over a year. Within a year’s time it ranked among the bestselling shows on Broadway. With tickets selling as high as $477, the Book of Mormon recouped their initial investment of $11.4 million within only nine months.

Masterminds behind the Broadway Production

The Book of Mormon has been brought to audiences by the talented trio, Parker, Stone and Lopez, who are most popular for creating the comedy series, ‘South Park’. The show’s music is by Robert Lopez, who has previously written material for the hit animated production, Frozen and Avenue Q (the band). The choreography has been handled by Casey Nicholaw (the Tony Award nominated choreographer responsible for works such as ‘Something Rotten!’ and ‘The Drowsy Chaperone’).
