The Book of Mormon was written by directors, Matt Stone, Trey Parker and Robert Lopez. Both Stone and Parker had a familial background associated with the LDS Church (The Church of Jesus Christ) and their work would often pay tribute to Mormonism.

The Book of Mormon tells the tale of two Mormon missionaries who travel to a remote Ugandan village on a mission and it all turns into one hilarious expedition.
