Carolina Ballet Tickets

Today, this nationally renowned ballet company is made up of a talented troupe of thirty five dancers as well as some of the best choreographers. This fascinating ballet company has had some famous productions performed live in front of large audiences. In 1998, the premiere of Handel’s Messiah occurred with choreography done by Robert Weiss. In 2000, The Kreutzer Sonata by Beethoven, Janácek and J. Mark Scearce occurred and it is based upon a novella by Tolstoy. Black and White Swan, the Carolina Ballet’s opened this season, is an amazing production that is based upon the hit movie, Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman, an Oscar winning actress and one of the best known celebrities in the world today. It is a psychological thriller in which this actress plays a ballerina who is trying to play two opposing parts in a ballet; one as an innocent white swan and one as a sensual black one.

Dracula The Masque of the Red Death is yet another sensational ballet production from over a hundred such productions that form up the vast repertory of the Carolina Ballet. This awesome production features the undisputed master of horror and prince of darkness playing scary and enchanting roles that will have you on your toes the whole time. It features Alan Campbell, a famous TV star and Broadway actor, playing the role of Dracula.
