Sports is the best route to a healthier and happier lifestyle; "staying healthy and living long" is the main motto of every sportsman. Sports teams at the college and university level play an important part in grooming students, and it is the take-off point for many international teams and players. One such team is the UConn Huskies, also known as the Connecticut Huskies, a group of athletic teams playing under the patronage of the University of Connecticut. The UConn Huskies play in the NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Division 1 FBS of the Big East Conference. They are true fighters and are all set to play another array of exciting tournaments, so get your UConn Huskies tickets only from us and catch all the excitement.
The UConn Huskies have been around for quite some time now, and their history goes back to the 1930s. They are a group of twenty varsity teams of men and women who take part in different sports such as basketball, track and field, soccer, football, golf, swimming, and tennis. The Huskies play all their games in the Big East Conference, except for ice hockey, in which the female team competes in Hockey East and the male team in Atlantic Hockey. Huskies are powerful black and white dogs with thick fur, and they live primarily in snowy, hilly areas of Connecticut, which is why the team players are nicknamed Huskies and their official mascot is Jonathan the Husky, which can be seen at different sports events. The team's official colors are white and blue, and the UConn Marching Band is known as "The Pride of Connecticut".
The men's and women's basketball teams play all their matches at the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center in Hartford. The UConn basketball teams of both men and women have shown amazing performances over the last few years and have been ranked continuously in the top 10 in their respective divisions. The men's team has won the NCAA title two times, in 1999 and 2004, whereas the women's team had unbeaten seasons in 1995, 2002, 2009, and 2010, and in total they have won seven titles. UConn Huskies have produced some very fine basketball players, such as Emeka Okafor, Hilton Armstrong, Rudy Gay, and Josh Boone. In 2004, UConn made a unique record as it was the second school to win the women's basketball and men's NCAA basketball championship in the same season. An interesting fact is that only six women in American women's basketball history have achieved the Triple Crown, meaning that they have won an NCAA championship, a WNBA (Women's National Basketball Association) Championship, a World Championship, and an Olympic Gold Medal; out of these six women, four were UConn alumnae. The world-renowned sports company Nike sponsors the UConn Huskies, and their contract amount is $46 million.
The UConn Huskies men's and women's soccer teams have also proved their worth by showing great performances; the men's team has won the NCAA Championships two times, whereas the women's team has qualified for the NCAA finals four times, but lost to North Carolina University. Some notable players of UConn who went on to play in the Major Soccer League are Damani Ralph, Chris Gbandi, Toni Stahl, and Shavar Thomas. In baseball, UConn players have been winning laurels for the University, as they have had five College World Series appearances, have won two Big East Tournament Championships, and, more importantly, two of their players went on to play in the Olympics. As far as field hockey is concerned, UConn Huskies have won ten Big East Regular Season Championships and ten Big East Tournament Championships, and two of their players have played in the Olympics.
The UConn Huskies have a famous and fierce rivalry with the University of Tennessee, especially in women's sports events. These two teams have faced each other seven times in the NCAA Tournament and four times in the NCAA Championship. UConn is leading the battle with a total of 13 wins against 8 losses. The Huskies have some of the finest and most talented players in their teams and they surely have the potential to produce a whole host of world-class players. UConn Huskies have their eyes fixed on the upcoming NCAA Championships and surely some of their players will bring pride to them by qualifying for the prestigious Olympic Games. Sports lovers, all of you are invited to watch the exciting games of the UConn Huskies, so get your UConn Huskies tickets from us and enjoy the matches!

Morrone Stadium, located at Storrs Campus, is where the men's and women's soccer and lacrosse teams play their home games, as well as Burton Family Football Complex, which opened in 2006 and serves as another on-campus home ground for the football team. Adjacent to this football complex is the Mark R. Shenkman Training Centre, a state-of-the-art training facility for the football team that spans more than 85,000 square feet. U-Conn Club and Intramural Sports also play their home games at this training complex.
