The St. Louis Cardinals Championship Haul

World Series – 11.

National League Pennants – 19.

AA Pennants – 4.

Central Division Titles – 12.

East Division Titles – 3.

In addition to their 11 World Series triumphs, the St. Louis Cardinals have also won 19 National League Pennants, 12 Central Division titles, and 3 East Division crowns. They have also won 4 Pennants in the old American Association.   The Cardinals are the fourth team on the list with the most appearances in the World Series. Only the New York Yankees, the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the San Francisco Giants have been to the World Series more times than the Cardinals. You can catch them in action by getting St. Louis Cardinals tickets, as the team from the Gateway to the West looks to make another appearance at the sport's biggest stage.   Many of the Cardinals' achievements have had a significant impact not just on the MLB, but also on sports in general. The farm system pioneered by former Cardinals' manager Branch Rickey was a major revolution in the game, which changed the way teams recruited players and built their squads.   Former coach Whitey Herzog's "Whiteyball" style of play was instrumental in the Cardinals' 1982 World Series triumph. Lacking the services of a power hitter, which was considered essential to becoming a strong team at the time, Herzog's men employed a combination of solid pitching, wonderful defense, line drive base hits, and speed on the base trails to get the better of their opponents. The 2011 Cardinals team was known for its incredible resilience and ability to make comebacks when it seemed like all was lost. This was exemplified in Game 6 of the World Series against the Texas Rangers.   The Rangers held a 3-2 lead going into that game and were just one strike away from winning their first ever World Series title in two separate innings. However, the Cardinals staged a remarkable rally to win the game and went on to win Game 7 and the World Series. The current roster of the Cardinals will undoubtedly be aiming to replicate these incredible feats and bring further success to this storied franchise.

St Louis Cardinals Rivalries

The St. Louis Cardinals have a few well-known rivalries, both within their division and outside of it. Here are some of their main rivalries:

Chicago Cubs: The rivalry between the Cardinals and Cubs is one of the oldest and most intense in all of sports. The two teams have been battling it out since 1892 and have faced each other over 2,400 times. The rivalry is fueled by the proximity of the two cities and the passionate fan bases on both sides.

Cincinnati Reds: The Cardinals and Reds have been rivals since the 1930s, when the two teams battled it out for National League dominance. The rivalry has ebbed and flowed over the years, but it has always been intense and often contentious.

Milwaukee Brewers: The Cardinals and Brewers have developed a strong rivalry in recent years due to both teams' competitiveness in the National League Central division. The two teams have faced each other in some heated games, including a brawl in 2011.

Kansas City Royals: Although the Cardinals and Royals play in different leagues, the "I-70 Series" between the two Missouri teams has become a fierce rivalry. The two teams have faced each other in one World Series (1985), with the Royals winning on that occassion.

Los Angeles Dodgers: While not a division rival, the Cardinals and Dodgers have developed a competitive and sometimes heated rivalry due to their frequent playoff matchups. The two teams have faced each other in the postseason 6 times, with the Cardinals winning 4 of those series.
