Monster Jam, the premier extreme motorsports event in the US, is now scheduled to be held at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines. Featuring the biggest, most destructive monster trucks around, Monster Jam shows have a lot in store for motorsports enthusiasts. Watch legendary trucks like Grave Digger, live in action, as they trample over regular cars and perform stunts and tricks you can only imagine. The Show

The Monster Jam shows feature usually two main competitions, the freestyle and racing competitions. The racing competition is straight forward and features a race between two competitors. The winners move on to the next round.

The freestyle competitions are a little different and involve trucks doing tricks and stunts in a given time period to impress the judges and crowds. Six judges decide which truck has done more technically difficult stunts to move on to the next round.

For smaller shows, other competitions may also be included. These are usually the wheelie competition or the donut contest.

Current Season

72 trucks are participating in for this season of the Monster Truck tour. These trucks include iconic names like McGruff the Crime Dog and Grave Digger and a host of exciting new comers like Stinger and Scooby Doo. The current season is shaping up to be highly competitive, but as things stand, it seems like the old guard, comprising Grave Digger and Max-D are setting the pace for the season.
