The early days

The Minnesota Wild were formed in the year 1997 but they stepped out to play for the first time in the 2000-2001 season. Not surprisingly, they posted two straight losing seasons but turned that around in spectacular fashion in the 2002-2003 campaign. The Wild not only recorded their first winning season but also made it to the postseason to go all the way to the Conference Finals. That is however as good as it got for them that year.

An interesting few years
