The game took place at the State College in Pennsylvania and was won by the Wolverines, 21-13. The University of Michigan Basketball Team

The basketball program of University of Michigan began in 1908 in which the team achieved a record score of 1-4. The team played for three years after which the program was shut down due to low attendance. It restarted in 1917 under coach, Elmer Mitchell. The first two seasons were successful with the team scoring (6-12 and 16-8, respectively). The Wolverines’ wins include an NCAA Championship, 7 Final Four wins, 13 Elite Eight titles, a Conference Tournament Championship and 14 Conference Regular Season wins.
