Iowa Hawkeyes are known for having an outstanding record of 60 wins and only 4 losses against Arizona State in baseball. The team is under the training by the exceptionally talented coach Jack Dahm who has a coaching profile highlighted by 400 wins. The list of achievements of the athletes of University Of Iowa doesn't end with baseball. It includes basketball with a winning record of eight Big Ten Championship seasons, Gymnastics with ten Big Ten team titles and a couple of National Championships and for football the count of championships titles reach to eleven. Iowa Hawkeyes women teams are accredited with six Big Ten Championships in basketball, eleven titles for field hockey, three for softball and a good number of recognitions in other sports as well.

Since the time of establishment Iowa Hawkeyes has qualified for 26 National and 105 Conference championships. To ensure maximum efficiency and consistency in the sports department, the university has kept the change of athletic directors to a minimum. Over the years Hawkeyes have had twelve directors in total. Currently the athletic department is headed by Gary Barta, who has held the position for about seven years now.
