The Formation
Founded as members of the World Hockey Association in 1971, they showed their talent and charisma to fans and opponents alike. By the end of the 1970s, they had become members of the National Hockey League. Their formula for success and fame was to induct young sportsmen oozing with talent, displaying sheer quickness on the ice hockey field. In no time, their formula yielded dividends and the team went on to enjoy unprecedented success.
Edmonton Oilers – An Exceptional Title Haul
The Edmonton Oilers tasted success for the first time in the 1983-1984 campaign when they clinched their maiden Stanley Cup. They went on to win another four Stanley Cups in the next six seasons, setting their dynasty in stone and not looking back since.

Division Championships – 07
Conference Championships – 07
Stanley Cups – 05
The Edmonton Oilers have clinched a total of five Stanley Cups, putting them at the top of the list of teams, along with the Pittsburgh Penguins, to have won the most Stanley Cup triumphs since the NHL and WHL merged. Much of this success can be attributed to the brilliance of the iconic Wayne Gretzky, arguably the greatest NHL player in history.
