The football team started in 1892 and was known as Crimson White, a tribute to their colors of crimson and white. It was then changed to The Thin Red Line. The Alabama Crimson Tide have accumulated five national titles, twenty-six regional titles, and seven SEC championships, and have been ranked in the top five for the most part since they began. The women's volleyball team has won three NCAA titles and two divisional titles.
