Under The Streetlamp Tickets

Under the Streetlamp is a hot new vocal band that is known for electrifying performances of classic hits taken from the much-loved American Radio Songbook. The group comprises of four artists Michael Cunio, Shonn Wiley, Michael Ingersoll and Christopher Kale Jones, all of whom have been leading cast members from the very recent Broadway musical Jersey Boys. Cunio is known for his electric vocals that make you jump to Twist and Shout, while Wiley is more of the traditional Hollywood musical sort who can hold the audience with an elegant performance of When You’re Smilin. Ingersoll stands distinguished for his Blues and Rhythm/Rockabilly style that culminates in tunes like Pretty Woman, while Kale Jones is noted for his rather intense and passionate singing range explored best in songs like Since I Fell For You.

About Under The Streetlamp

A quartet of charismatic vocalists, Under the Streetlamp features an unusual mix of smooth dance moves and harmonies to the most popular Rock n Roll, Doo-Wop and Motown hits from old time master bands such as The Four Seasons, The Beatles, The Beach Boys and The Drifters, among several others. Together these fine vocalists present that inescapable connection that fans have felt with the Rat Pack maestros, which shows just why the retro tunes are still so loved today.  Under the Streetlamp tickets are the perfect treat for retro music fans, who are only too thrilled about the band’s upcoming performance.
The group chose to call itself Under the Streetlamp since the name instantly alludes to the simple yet passionate, romantic and intimate image of the old times when music from the American Radio Songbook was the epitome of musical finesse. This music at once incorporates all that is diverse with a dynamic spirit which is the very essence of truly iconic American music. In part, there is much to be credited to the witty lyrics, silky melodies as well as the uniquely talented performers of the era in which such music gained momentum and developed further. All this happened way before anything like radios, mp3 players, cables of iTunes were known, and instead the only means relied upon for listening to music were a couple of FM stations. Though today such limited options seem only too inadequate and dull, in those days they came as a remarkable treat to music lovers who tuned in for Blues, Jazz and Swing tracks which in turn led to the birth of Soul, Doo-Wop and Rock n Roll that everyone heard over the radio. This allowed one to experience the powerful music of Johnny Cash, Etta James and Four Seasons with the assistance of some of the greatest DJs like Wolfman Jack and Alan Freed.
Under the Streetlamp aims to encapsulate the spirit from those days when the radio provided folk with the hip rhythm of American music. People back then would get together under streetlamps that gave them the spotlight under which they could sing with their friends while playing instruments using their voices. Before American music legacy was introduced to the concept of genres such as neo- hip hop-soul, alternative-punk-rockabilly and adult-contemporary-pop, music existed known only as music. And whatever someone’s taste may have been, they got to hear it all so that today, fans of the group’s music know all their songs and lyrics. Some of the group’s most popular tracks include covers of the classics I Wonder Why, At Last, Sh-Boom, Blue Moon, Pretty Woman, Cry, Save the Last Dance, When You’re Smiling, Hey Jude, and Twist and Shout, among many others.
Under the Streetlamp has performed many sold out shows including places like the Gulf Coast in Florida, Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta, GA, Warner Theatre in Washington DC, Egyptian Room in Indianapolis, Park West in Chicago, Ohio Theatre in Cleveland, Club Nokia in Los Angeles, among many others. With their flawlessly performed classic tunes, the foursome promise to take you to the days of Johnny Cash and The Beatles, so book Under the Streetlamp tickets and treat yourself to musical finesse.
