Robyn formally joined the music world by signing her first deal with RCA Records in 1994. The following year she released her debut single “You’ve Got That Something” in Sweden. This song reached the top 30 Pop charts in her home country and received minor success in the U.K. Robyn’s first notable success came with her second single “Do You Really Want me” from her debut album Robyn is Here. This song climbed to number 2 in Swedish Charts and remained her most successful single till June 2010. In 1996, Robyn did the vocals for Blacknunss’ single “Roll with Me”. She qualified for Eurovision Song Contest 1997 for writing and producing the song “Du Gör Mig Hel Igen”, this song earned the 4th spot in Melodifestivalen 1997. Robyn Is here was released in the U.S in 1997 and climbed to #1 spot on the U.S Billboard top Heatseekers charts. It was certified platinum by RIAA.


Robyn released her second album My Truth in May 1998 and it peaked to #2 on the Swedish Album Charts. “Not On the Inside”, “Giving Your Back”, “Underneath the Heart”, “My Only Reason”, “Electric”, “Main Thing”, “Play” and “88 Days” made this a hit across Europe. The following 3 years were transition period for the singer; she focused on other projects too and collaborated with other artist to get a head start in the cutthroat music industry. Robyn contributed for the soundtrack of On the Line i.e. “Say You’ll Walk the Distance”. After a gap of relatively inactive 4 years, Robyn released her 3rd Studio album Don’t Stop the Music in November 2002. The cover of this album, with metallic features of the artist and her bronze skin tone against the darker golden shade of the clouds in background, was very attractive. “Keep This Fire Burning”, “Regntunga Skyar” and “Don’t Stop the Music” are the notable tracks from it.


Robyn did a Robyn’s Best, her first compilation album was released in May 2004 in America. This album brought the artist to the international limelight. In 2005, Robyn created her own record company Konichiwa Records and released her single “Be Mine” in March same year. This single made her fans realize Robyn true potential as a singer. She released her fourth studio album Robyn a month later and it instantly became a number album on the Swedish Albums Charts. It earned very encouraging reviews and it was certified platinum in her home country. “Handle Me”, “Who’s That Girl”, “Crash and Burn Girl”, “Curriculum Vitae”, “Konichiwa Bitches”, “With Every Heartbeat”, “Bionic Women”, “Any Time You Like” and “Should Have Known” are some of the more notable tracks from this album.


Robyn released several single and EPs before releasing her fifth studio album Body Talk Pt. 1 in June 2010. This album became much popular in Europe and reached the top 10 albums charts in various countries. “Cry When You Get Older”, “None of Dem”, “Dancing on My Own”, “Don’t Fucking Tell Me What to Do”, “Fem Boat”, “Jag Vet En Dejlig Rosa” and “Dancehall Queen” are the notable tracks from this album. Robyn has received 2 Grammy nominations and has won 4 Swedish Grammis Awards.
