About Miguel

Miguel is a Grammy winning recording artist who rose to fame with his groovy single “All I Want Is You”. This song features on his major label debut record of the same name, released in 2010. Since then, the artist has created three US # 1 singles, and produced four studio albums. Over the years, he has collaborated with some of the top names in the industry including Sia, Queen Latifah, J. Cole and Calvin Harris. His music is very dynamic and it has gone from the personal to political and social over the years. His latest studio record, “War & Leisure” is politically charged in particular. On this album, Miguel is reflecting on the divisive politics being played in the present day.

Now that the album has been released, Miguel is ready to promote it on tour. Miguel tickets tend to be limited and should be availed at the earliest. There are some tickets still up for grabs for his December 2017 shows as well.

About War & Leisure

This album has music critics and fans comparing Miguel’s musical style to that of the late-great Prince’s. His rich voice and deep meaning songs combine personal passion with political urgency to become the voice of the broken hearted and the marginalized. Despite these real-life inspirations, Miguel’s music has an element of escapism to it; the psychedelic R&B tone that he has perfected transports the listener into an unreal world.

The guitar is more pronounced on this album than before. In Miguel’s previous work, the sound has been decidedly digital, focusing on electronic beats and drops rather than actual instrumentation. On this album, however, electric guitars and violins are used to set a decidedly mellow, dark mood. “War & Leisure” is more reflective than his previous works and focuses on the society around Miguel, rather than himself.

The singer is no stranger to Grammy nominations; however his album has not been in the running for the 2018 Awards. It was released on the 1st of December, after the nominees’ list was announced by CBS.

About the Tour

Miguel will be busy on his “War & Leisure” tour as he is promoting his album far and wide. He will be making stops in a number of cities across North America. Theaters near you are sure to be gearing up for his visit. So check the itinerary and purchase Miguel tour tickets early. The shows will kick off in February 2018 and last through the first half of 2018. So do not miss this opportunity.
