About Rock On The Range 3 Day Pass

Rock on the Range is a rock festival which is held every year at one of these two venues: Canal Inns Stadium and Columbus Crew Stadium. The festival features most of the mainstream rock bands while the show is usually headlined by a classic band. The first festival of Rock of the Range in Columbus was held in May 2007 whereas in Winnipeg it was held in June 2009. It was a sold-out festival which ran all day long, starting at around noon with people staying there till midnight. Owing to this initial success and the response which it got by the audience, it was transformed into a yearly festival which returned to the Clumber Crew Stadium the next year. It was a 2-day festival which was held on 17th-18th of May, 2008. The festival featured the first live performance of the band Stone Temple Pilots in seven years of its hiatus.
Each day fans exceeding the number of 30,000 are attracted by the grounds of Columbus Crew Stadium for this festival. To accommodate the ever growing audience at the festival, two new stages were set up. One was the main stage, now called as the Kicker Stage, which is located at the one end of the soccer field inside the Columbus Crew Stadium. The other was the “second” stage, now referred to as the Monster Energy Stage, which is located outside the stadium in the parking lot. The Jägermeister Music Stage, the third stage, was added in for the 2009 show which is located opposite to the Monster Energy Stage. The 2009 festival was again a two-day event which was held on 16th-17th May, 2009. The 2009 festival was the last appearance of Avenged Sevenfold in US before the death of Jimmy Sullivan, their drummer.
In 2009 festival numerous changes were made. Some independent events were held at the festival by their sponsors such as those by Sony’s PlayStation Bus which demos their new video games. In 2011 and 2012, Rock on the Range was stretched to a two and a half days where half-day was the Pre-Party night before the two-day festival actually began. This Pre-Party night accommodated four more bands’ performances. However, in 2013, this half-day Pre-Party has been announced to be changed into a full day of the event making Rock on the Range a 3-day festival.
