About Coachella Tickets

Coachella traces its origins back to the year 1993 when, Pearl Jam did a concert at the Empire Polo Club. That show demonstrated the site’s viability to host large events which later gave birth to the most iconic festival in the world, The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

Coachella was founded by Paul Tollet. It is held annually over two-weekends and spans over three days. The festival takes place at the Empire Polo Club in Lindo. It had its two day opening celebrations in 1999 where many notable artists from the music industry including The Chemical Brothers, Tool, Rage Against The Machine, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals and Perry Farrell among others performed. That inaugural edition was a raging success and laid the foundations for Coachella to become what it is today. Coachella 2017 tickets are bought by thousands of music fans from different parts of the world as they gather at one location to watch their favorite stars perform for them.

Coachella did not waste too much time in becoming immensely popular. It became a regular annual fixture beginning in 2001. It was turned into a two-week extravaganza in 2012. The festival’s success reached new heights in 2014 as it welcomed more than an incredible five hundred and seventy thousand fans. It featured 184 artists including some of the biggest names from the music industry like, Lorde, Aloe Blacc, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Diplo, Motorhead, Calvin Harris, Muse, and Arcade Fire among others.

Coachella features a wide variety of music genres including indie, hip hop, rock and electronic dance music. While it showcases many popular and established artists, it also provides the stage for new emerging talents to show the world they have what it takes to become a success. There are several stages constructed across the grounds to continuously host live music including the Outdoor Theatre, the Sahara Tent, the Coachella Stage, the Gobi Tent, the Mojave Tent and the Yuma Stage which made its debut in 2013.

Coachella’s other half is dedicated to visual projects and displays including sculpture and installation art. Many of the pieces are interactive and deliver fans a real visual treat. Some of the arts that have featured in the festival over the years include Hand of man, Wave, Flockwall, La Familia Divina-Shrine, Spectralcodec Interactive Video, Beyond the Garden, Rimski’s Bicycle Piano and Copper Droopscape. Visual artists like Hotshot the Robot, The Do LaB, The Tesla Coil (Cauac) and Robochrist Industries have also made their appearances at Coachella.

This year’s editing promises to be the biggest of them all. It will be headlined by some of the most talent musicians in the world. The likes of AC/DC, Drake, Jack White, Alabama Shakes, Angel Olsen, Alison Wonderland, Annie Mac, Chet Faker, Built to Spill, David Guetta, Florence +The Machine,  Steely Dan, Tyler The Creator, Vance Joy, The Weeknd, Dirty South, Marina and The Diamonds, Nero and Ab-Soul to name a few, will all take the stage to deliver one unforgettable performance after another.

The success of Coachella has given birth to many other festivals. Its legacy has stood the test of time to make it one of the biggest, if not the biggest music festival in the world. With the latest edition of this epic event, now just around the corner, the best it looks is yet to come. Hundreds and the thousands of fans are once again expected to make their way to the Empire Polo Club for what should be a festival to remember.
