About Steve Earle

American singer and songwriter Stephen Fain Steve Earle belongs to Hampton, Virginia and was bornon January 17, 1955. The artist is especially renowned for his political activism and publications apart from being a great country and rock musician. He was interested in music from an early age, and studied music business in Houston. An interesting aspect of his personality is that he married seven times, out of which twice he married the same women after separation. He is currently married with Allison Moorer who is a songwriter and singer. The marriage took place in 2005.

The musical career of Steve Earle started in 1975 when he moved to Nashville, Tennessee. The artist collaborated with the singer Guy Clark and his wife Susanna, who helped him in his career as a musician. It was in mid 1970s that he started writing songs for musicians including Johnny Lee, Carl Perkins, Steve Wariner and Vince Gill. One of the songs he wrote for Patty Loveless titled A Little Bit in Love was a huge success. It was after he gained some recognition as a songwriter that he decided to try his luck as a vocalist, and after getting some minor hits as a rockabilly style singer, his debut album titled Guitar Town was released. The album was a great commercial hit, and marked his entry into the mainstream music scene. The album was released by the MCA Records, and received Gold rating by the RIAA. The subsequent albums also followed the example, including Exit 0 released in 1987 and Copperhead Road released in 1988, with the latter also being rated as Gold by RIAA.

A negative aspect of Earle’s personality was his habit of substance abuse for a long time, including heroin addiction. By 1990s it became obvious that this habit had started affecting his musical career as well as personality. By 1992, his health and personality were so much in jeopardy that he was arrested on firearms and drugs charges, and had to spend some time in jail. He could not perform for two years, and it was during his stay in jail that he was able to overcome his addiction. After being released, he worked on his music again, and released two albums during the next one and a half year. One of the two albums was even nominated for Grammy in the Best Contemporary Folk Album category. According to the critics, his personality as well as musical style has changed remarkably after his release from jail. He has now shown an increasing interest in bluegrass music as well as folk and rock music. There have been several movies that he has worked in, and he has been the subject of a documentary film that is based on his life.

Another important aspect of his life and career has been his political views. He has been a strong campaigner against landmines, and views against Vietnam and Iraq war have always drawn attention towards him. He has also been campaigning against death penalty. There have been controversies against him, with people accusing him of glorifying terrorism and terrorist, but he has always been clarifying his point of view as that of a person who hates violence, no matter who does it. His views against violence also become evident in many of his songs.

Having an artist who has a passion for music apart from having a dream to make this world a better place performing in front of you is an experience hard to describe in words, and Steve Earle Tickets can be your source to materialize this experience!
