Scotty McCreery was born on 9^th of October 1993 in Garner, North Carolina. McCreery started practicing guitar at the early age of ten. He had interest in singing since his childhood, and also gave a performance on his graduation day. He was a part of vocal ensemble at Garner Magnet High School. Before American Idol, he won a contest “Clayton Idol” on a radio station. He was also a finalist at “Rip the Hallways”, a contest that was between teenagers. He also used to make performances at various local events. Apart from music, McCreery is a baseball fan and plays for Garner Trojans as homerun-hitting pitcher.
