About Chase Rice

Raised on a small farm in Asheville, Chase Rice attended the University of North Carolina at the Chapel Hill. The young Rice played as a linebacker at the football team in University but when an injury marginalized his career, he joined the Hendrick Motorsports pit crew as a tire carrier. Rice spent his evenings playing in the bars at Charlotte and would fly to Nashville at weekends to participate in songwriting events. Motivated by his parents, Rice learned his first lesson of working hard to fulfill his dreams. Luck finally was on his side when he ended up competing in the country’s harshest reality TV show “Survivor: Nicaragua” in 2010. Although the talented Rice ended just second in line, the show served as a platform for Rice to launch his singing career.

Chase Rice first delivered a performance in his hometown Asheville, rocking the arena with his track “Heathens in the Evenin”. The singer immediately fell in love with the energy he felt from the crowd and was immediately hooked to music. By 2011 Rice became music-savvy, spending most of his time writing songs and singing at underground gigs. The artist co-wrote the hit song “Cruise” for the Florida Georgia Line after which he released his debut EP “Ready Set Roll” which made waves in the US music industry. His debut album “Country As Me” released in 2011, was symbolic of his lively music streak and was an endless source of energy for country music fans. The album received a positive response and the track “Buzz Back” became a party heartthrob for summer breaks.

The artist came up with his second album “Dirt Road Communion” in March 2012 under his own Dack Janiels Records. It remained the 6th highest downloaded album on iTunes for a week and ranked at number 48 on Billboard Country Albums chart. Shortly afterwards, Rice released his famous EP “Ready Set Roll” whose titular single went Gold even before it entered the Top 20. The track peaked at the Top 5 and sales went Platinum in 2013. His latest album “Ignite the Night” was released on June 30th 2014 under Dack Janiels and Columbia Nashville labels. The platinum-certified “Ready Set Roll” was the album’s lead single apart from other songs like “Ride”, “Gonna Wanna Tonight” and the rock single “50 Shades of Crazy”. Being his breakthrough album, “Ignite the Night” topped the Billboard Country Albums chart, sold 44,000 copies and debuted at number 3 on Billboard 200. The album notched the seventh position on the Canadian Albums Chart and sold 2600 copies in its first week of release in Canada. The artist has been an expert at writing songs and has been penning them with colleagues like Tyler Hubbard, Jessie Rice and Brian Kelley. His lyrics have often been reflective of the realities of life and the experiences he has had with his family. The song “Die Tryin” signifies the sacrifices that military families make for the country while “My Old Man” tells the tale of his father’s inspirational battle with cancer.

A keen hunter and sportsperson, Chase Rice loves riding his four wheelers and hunting for deer, pheasant and quail. A sports enthusiast, Rice avidly follows Carolina Tarheels, Florida Gators, Boston Red Sox and Colorado Rockies. An outdoorsy, Rice has all the elements and the talents needed to create a diverse repertoire and keep the crowds glued to his performance. Witness the most promising country star in the industry and join the other fans as he rocks the stage with his charisma and sheer musical talent.
