About Brent Cobb

About Brent Cobb

Brent Cobb is a singer-songwriter who began his career by writing songs for acts such as Little Big Town, Kellie Pickler, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and many others. In 2006, he started focusing on his own music and released two EPs over the next few years. Out of these, “No Place Left to Leave” gained a positive response by the country music fans. Cobb has a Southern upbringing and he captures it in his songwriting. It’s just pure, honest country music, the kind that instantly warms your heart.

About his debut album

Shine on a Rainy Day plays well with this theme and is an ode to small-town life. Cobb is documenting an important world in this album, one that is separate from Atlanta, Nashville and other big city centers. The singer grew up in Ellaville, Georgia; a town with a population of 1,609 people at the time. While the setting was not exactly rural, the community was strong and tightly knit. In the song South of Atlanta, Cobb explains his ardent love for his hometown in the words, Lord, when I die, let’s make a deal; Lay me down in that town where time stands still.

The title of the album is drawn from a similar theme as well. Cobb’s world has stayed the same, even though the rest of America has undergone a drastic change over the last couple of years. Shine on a Rainy Day is a refreshing record in these tumultuous times, as it celebrates silver linings and reminds us that when things get tough, we can always go home.

About his upcoming tour

Cobb is a very self-assured and hopeful artist. His 2018 tour is named Ain’t a Road Too Long which is an openly positive expression. The trek is headed to a number of cities and Brent Cobb tour dates indicate the singer will be very busy throughout the year.

Along with these, Brent Cobb tickets for many of his 2017 concerts can still be purchased. The singer will be sharing the spotlight on these events with Miranda Lambert and Jon Pardi. Therefore, whether you would like a one-on-one with the country crooner, or catch him with other hit-makers; you can avail both opportunities.
