Tribal Seeds is influenced by artists such as the legendary Bob Marley and groups such as Midnite and Steel Pulse. Its is made up of lead vocalist and lyricist Steven Jacobo, keyboardist and songwriter Tony-Ray Jacobo, guitarist Tony Navarro, bassist Vitor Navarro, drummer Carlos Verdugo and percussionist Jose Rodriguez. They have toured many American cities as well as Guam, Aruba and Mexico. They have performed live with many bands including MGMT, Earth Wind & Fire, Greg Allman, Matisyahu, Gregory Isaacs, The Wailers, Stephen Marley, SOJA and Rebelution. For each of these concerts hundreds and even thousands of cheap Tribal Seeds tickets were sold.
In 2009, they released an album titled as The Harvest which ranked fifth on the Billboard Reggae Charts and consisted of fourteen original and new tracks, written by the band and produced by them. In 2011, Tribal Seeds released the album Soundwaves which ranked second on the Billboard Reggae Charts and gained a lot of airplay on radio stations, on TV channels and on YouTube.
