The original members of the band include the vocalist Jason Cruz, Rob Ramos and Jake Kiley are the guitarists, drummer Adam Austin, and Jim Cherry is the bassist. They turned out to be among the first few bands that were signed to Fat Wreck Chords, after the release of their self-titled seventh album. Austin moved out of the group in 1992, got replaced by Morrison who was soon replaced by Jordan Burns. In 1999, the band went through the loss of another member, Jim Cherry, who served as the bassist and was replaced by Chris Aiken. The Skinny Years Before We Got Fat, released in 1998, was a compilation record of the pre-Fat Wreck Chords work of the group.
