In early nineties, Patty began performing at coffeehouses and started working on creating a demo of her work. A stripped-down version of her work came out in the form of “Living With Ghosts”, her debut album which was released in 1996. Introducing a more sonically distinct and raucous sounds than the preceding album, “Flaming Red” came out two years later. Patty remained determined and made an impactful comeback with “1000 Kisses” in 2002. The album was a big hit and earned Patty a Grammy Award nomination. The album spawned hits such as Long Ride Home that narrated the reflections of a mourner and the Spanish language single Mil Besos. Gaining widespread acclaim, “Downtown Church” was released in 2010 and earned her a Grammy Award in the “Best Traditional Gospel Album” category.
