To celebrate their 30^th anniversary’s, everybody’s all-time favorite rock band 311 is going on their musical trek titled 50 Dates in 50 States. Formed in 1990, the band has played in 27 different countries and has performed over 2,000 shows. Despite of playing for a long time, the group has never shown any signs of slowing down. Known as one of the most exciting and dynamic bands of the US, 311 knows how to make the audience dance and sing along with their tunes.

311 doesn’t only focus on rock music but they know how to blend different genres like funk rap and reggae in their music. Starting on February 20, 2020, the first two shows of the trek will be recorded by Direct TV and will be aired in future. The tour will also consist of a 3-day festival in Las Vegas where the band will be playing 90 different songs.

The trek is divided into two parts - Spring 2020 and Summer 2020. The second part of the trek will feature Incubus and Badflower. Consisting of 36 shows, the Summer 2020 trek will mark the band’s 21^st consecutive summer tour to the US.

About The Band

The popular American rock band, 311 was formed in Omaha years ago by their guitarist and vocalist, Nick Hexum. Currently consisting of five members, 311 is one of the few bands that have managed to maintain the same lineup as they had at the time of inception. Initially, they released a whole series of independent albums but later on the band got signed with Capricorn Records. They released their album Music and Grassroots in 1993 and 1994 which brought them moderate success but later in 1995, the band came up with their self-titled album which proved to be their biggest hit. The album was certified triple-platinum and it made it to the Billboard 200 chart as well.  This hit paved the band’s way for others successes as well. In the upcoming years they released their famous albums like Transistor, Soundsystem and From Chaos.

Formed in 1988, 311 released its debut studio album ‘Dammit!’ in 1990. Released independently, the album failed to make it to the music charts in US but managed to pave way for the band’s future success. Only three hundred copies of the album were made available and have now become a collector’s item. With songs like ‘Summer of Love’, ‘Peaceful Revolution’ and ‘Push It Away’, the album garnered rave reviews from the fans upon its release. In 1993, 311 made it to the chart for the first time with their third studio album ‘Music’. The album reached number thirty seven position on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and was certified Gold status. Their following 1994 album ‘Grassroots’ was a greater success than the previous album, charting at eight position on the Heatseekers chart and landing on the Billboard 200. Allmusic gave the album a four and half star rating and praised the tracks ‘Salsa’, ‘Silver’, ‘Omaha Stylee’ and ‘Lucky’. The album sold thousands of copies in the US and was certified Gold.

311 captivated millions of fans around the world with their breakthrough eponymous album in 1995. The album topped the Billboard Heatseekers chart and made it to number twelve on the Billboard 200. Chart breaking single like ‘Down’, ‘All Mixed Up’ and ‘Don’t Stay Home’ were extremely well received by the fans. The album sold over three million copies in the US and was certified three times Platinum by the RIAA. After the success of ‘311’, the band continued to gain momentum and released one Platinum and two Gold certified albums titled ‘Transistor’, ‘Soundsytem’ and ‘From Chaos’.

The band’s most recent album ‘Universal Pulse’ was released in 2011 that peaked at number two spot on the Billboard Alternative Rock Albums chart and landed at number seven spot on the Billboard 200 chart. Overall, the band has released twelve studio albums, five EPs, four compilation albums and over thirty singles. They have collaborated with several renowned artists and musicians over the years such as Sublime, Slightly Stupid, The Dirty Heads , Eric Correa, Adam Merrin and Black Chiney. 311 will be releasing its highly anticipated album this year.
