About George Jones Deadwood Tickets

Born as George Glenn Jones in Saratoga, Texas in 1931, he was raised in nearby Vidor. Jones was given a guitar on his ninth birthday. Busking on street-corners, he finally moved to Jasper to appear on the local KJAX, KCOX, and KTXJ radio stations. He enlisted in the Marine Corps, singing in bars during his California stationing. After discharging, George Jones developed his infamous binge drinking habit. He was spotted by Pappy Daily, co-owner of Starday Records. His roots-rich honky-tonk country appealed to Daily, and “No Money in This Deal” became his first single in 1954. Toiling a further year, he landed his first hit “Why Baby Why”.
Jones has recorded over 70 studio albums, with numerous compilation and collaborative albums (with the likes of Merle Haggard and Tammy Wynette). Ten have gone Gold, with two crossing Platinum. He has 15 #1s and a record-high country chart appearances. Jones is a four-time Grammy winner and a ‘Kennedy Center Honoree’.
Jones’s drunken episodes saw him snub concerts, earning the “No Show Jones” nickname before he became sober over the last decade. The George Jones Deadwood show arrives on 21st April.

At 80, the maestro still has the swagger to steal the show, delighting fans with George Jones Deadwood tickets.
