Religious satire musical, The Book of Mormon is now bringing its satirical comedy to Las Vegas’ Smith Center. The Tony Award-winning musical is perhaps among the most successful plays by the legendary trio of Matt Stone, Trey Parker and Robert Lopez. The show centers on two utterly naïve and young Mormon missionaries sent to preach their scriptures to a place where people are more concerned about AIDS, famine and poverty. Both of the missionaries are simply terrible at connecting with the foreign populace while only one of them who has actually read the Mormon book. The situation these two lads get caught up in is just hilarious. Audience can only try to take a break from laughing. The Book of Mormon Las Vegas tickets make for a perfect treat among comedy fans.

In 2011, the two-act musical won nine Tony Awards including the categories of Best Musical, Best Original Score and Best Orchestrations. The same year, it brought home five Drama Desk Awards and four Outer Critics Circle Award. In 2012, the show won a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. Only recently, at the 2013 Evening Standard Awards, the musical’s London production won the category of Best Night Out.

The Smith Center For Performing Arts, where The Book of Mormon Las Vegas show is to be held, is situated in Downtown Las Vegas.
