Of Mice And Men Tickets

The name of the band is inspired from John Steinbeck's novel " Of Mice and Men ". The book unfolds a story of the unpredictability of life and how perfect plans of mice and men often do not work out. Plans are made but there is no guarantee they will work out as per ones will. The lead vocalist of the band, Austin Charlie and bassist Jaxin Hall shared similar feelings hence, naming their band, Of Mice and Men . Both of them had had big dreams and plans but because they did not work out, the two got together in an attempt to make the most of what they had by creating metal music for the audiences. The journey of success and fame of the band began in 2009 when vocalist Austin Carlile and bassist Jaxin Hall joined hands with Valentino Arteaga, Shayley Bourget and Phil Manansala and started playing music. The bands cover of Lady Gaga’s song Poker Face was a hit earning the band their first contract with Rise Records. The debut album "Of Mice & Men" was released in March 2010.
In 2010 Austin Carlile and Jaxin Hall left the band. They were replaced by Jerry Roush as the lead vocalist and Dane Poppin as the bassist. With the two new members the band participated in the Warped Tour 2010. Soon after the tour they flew to the United Kingdom supporting August Burns Red and Blessthefall.
In early 2011 the former vocalist and founding member, Austin Carlile was asked to rejoin the band. He replaced Roush and the band even accepted another new member, Ashby. This was the time when the group was rearranged. Shayley Bourget became the new bass guitarist alongside vocals and Ashby took over the rhythm guitars. With the refreshed band the second album The Flood was recorded and released in 2011. A new single "Still YDG’N" was released in early May 2011. End of May another song "Purified" was released. The 2011 installment of Sideonedummy's annual Warped Tour compilation features Purified.
Of Mice and Men has supported many tours since its inception. Some of these include We Came as Romans on the Im Alive Tour along with Miss May I, Texas in July, and Close to Home.
2012 began on a difficult note for the band. Shayley Bourget left the band for some personal reasons. His contribution to the band's vocals was taken over completely by Austin Carlile. Thus Of Mice and Men began working on their third studio album.
A revised version of The Flood was released in July 2012. The album had two CDs with four new songs.
Of Mice and Men promises a more rock, structured and deeper third album. The album will be nu-metal promising meaningful metal music. The album will be more powerful and angry doing justice to the genre. Sources have revealed that in the third album the band will be recording with Joey Sturgis again.
